Deer'Up - Animated Short & Sheet

So, i've made a 1 minute length animated short. The concept is based on an adaptation from a team project i made together on college. I got so fascinated by that and i had to made something out it.

The characters are based/inspired on 3 different deer species. The two first are found especially on South America.

The first smaller one on Southern Pudu (Pudu puda), and the tall one both on Pygmy Brocket (Mazama nana) and Marsh Deer (Blastocerus dichotomus).
The last small one has not a particular one, just common depictions of northern reeinders and deers in general.

I also took the chance to elaborate a quick title typography for it. I tried going towards fantasy and a sketchy/loose touch while adding something resembling the characters silhouette.

Throughout all the process, i had the opportunity of experimenting elements such as storyboarding, "camera" shots, SFX, and the challenge of maintaining character consistency through color values in different lighting, posing and perspectives.
